Located in an area of Prague called Josefov (once the Jewish Quarter), and surrounded by a high stone wall, are 12,000 graves, the oldest dating to 1439. Use of this Jewish Cemetery ceased in 1787 due to lack of space, and the site is now completely closed off to visitors.
Having read that it was a site worth seeing, I summoned my inner rock climber and managed to scale the wall a few feet off the ground. Then, reaching up to position my camera, I took this shot through a high opening in one section of it before my legs gave out and I landed on the hard sidewalk beneath me.
Luckily, there was no one around to witness my fall.
