Celebrating Tradition

The Artisan              Korean Folk Village, South Korea

Like it has fallen out of the pages of a history book, the Korean Folk Village is full of ancient thatched houses, a Buddhist temple, a Confucian school, a Shaman shrine, a bustling market, a magistrate’s house (with graphic examples of punishments), and water soaked rice-paddies.

The best part? Traditionally clothed ‘actors’ never break character as they work as artisans (pictured), tend the fields, dance, play music, or participate in elaborate wedding ceremonies.
