In Photos: Hopewell Rocks

In Southeastern New Brunswick, Canada, Hopewell Cape — located where the Petitcodiac River meets the Fundy waters in Shepody Bay — is the home of the stunning Hopewell Rocks. These unusual erosion formations, known as 'flowerpots' to the locals, have been created by the huge daily tides that flow in and out of the cape.

In fact, you have to be VERY careful when heading down to the beach to view these caves, and rock towers. When the tide rushes in, you are completely blocked from the stairway that leads you up from the beach, and could be trapped for hours!
